Bio
Chase started shooting at the age of fourteen, crafted his skills by studying art and photography in Rome, and ran a production company for ten years. Excuse Me for Living is Chase’s seventh feature film. Other narrative work includes the Warner Bros. release Listen To Your Heart featuring Cybil Shepherd and Ernie Sabella, In a Pickle starring Jackie Mason, and Cost of a Soul in theaters Summer 2011.
His short-form work includes a music video for Grammy Award winners The Roots, and commercial work for Nascar, D.C. Comics, ESPN, New York City Ballet, and Getty Images. His work has been screened at two dozen national and international film festivals including The Cannes Film Festival and the New York International Film Festival. Often evangelizing new digital cinema technology, Chase was featured in the June 2010 issue of American Cinematographer for his technique for setting exposure for the RED camera.
